Laughing TOO MUCH at work right now?
I didn’t think so. Working under pressure, striving for excellence and professionalism doesn’t necessarily bring out our most humorous selves. (Add mid-winter fatigue and covid to that.)
And yet, humour can be very effective in diffusing tension, strengthening connection and enhancing creativity.
A bit of lightheartedness and humour doesn’t have to undermine your executive presence – it can add to it! You CAN be serious about business without taking yourself too seriously. Gravitas and levity are not at odds, they complement each other.
Who do you know who is good at using humour in the workplace to make others feel good. What do they do? How do they do it?
