A pitiful, old lady with a trembling voice? Anything but!

Shirley Bassey, the voice behind the classic James Bond “Goldfinger” song, recently gave an acclaimed performance at the Oscars – still going strong at the age of 76! A living proof that you don’t have to sound like a granny just because of your age. In fact, it’s usually not the age of the vocal folds that make old people sound old. It’s a collapsed posture and weaker muscles that prevent a sufficient and even airflow required to power the voice. So mind your posture, and exercise your body!
This clip is from 2011, as the sound quality of the Oscars 2013 clip was not great, but same song and same power. Enjoy!
